After registering a record number of visitors in 2024, the EMT Museum (one of the least known in Madrid) opens its doors with buses, maps and uniforms that today are part of the history of the capital. It will be open in two periods: from March 1 to July 31 and from September 6 to November 16, in the morning and, as a novelty, also in the afternoon.
The EMT Museum treasures a collection of 42 old buses -among them, the emblematic double-decker Guy Arab models, from 1947, or the Leyland Titan, from 1957- a coach and four auxiliary vehicles that are already considered as historical heritage of the Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid. In addition, the space is full of bus shelters, streetcar seats, models and maps that place us in different periods of the city.
Ticket prices are the same as last year: 5€ for general admission and 3€ for reduced admission (for large families, children up to seven years old, students, people over 65, people with disabilities and EMT workers). For children under four years of age, admission is free.
Morning visits can be made in three shifts: at 10:00, 11:30 or 13:00 hours. An afternoon shift at 5:00 pm will be available until June 1. The first passes can already be booked through the EMT website (they fly!).
