Small and, at times, picturesque. The Community of Madrid is dotted with little-known populations that, by their number of neighbors and neighbors, make up the list of villages with fewer inhabitants throughout the region. A list that we have drawn up after having consulted the official data of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of 2024 and that have left us the following conclusions.
The village with the fewest inhabitants in the entire Community of Madrid is La Acebeda, which has only 68 people in its neighborhood. However, it can be a good option for a getaway considering that there you can enjoy hiking trails or visit a seventeenth century mill converted into a restaurant. More ideas can be found on the website of the City Council of La Acebeda.
La Acebeda is closely followed by Madarcos, with 70 inhabitants. The small census is something that has become a source of pride: “It is a fact that instead of playing against us, it has become an example of coexistence and innovation for all the municipalities in the area”, can be read on its website. There you can consult what is worth visiting in the town and information on projects such as an emotional route through its streets.
The podium is completed with Robregordo, neighbor of La Acebeda, whose population amounts to 73 inhabitants. Nestled in the Sierra de Guadarrama, the village offers hiking and cycling routes and the possibility of seeing, for example, an old forge or a horseshoeing colt.
