The Fiestas de Vicálvaro 2025, which will be held from June 26 to 29, come with a diverse cultural program, full of activities and traditions for all audiences, consolidating the Fairground as the epicenter of the celebration, although each neighborhood of the district will have its own proposals.
Music will be one of the main protagonists, highlighting the expected free concert by Café Quijano on Saturday, June 28 at 10:15 pm at the Recinto Ferial, where attendees can sing classics such as La Lola. The musical offer is completed with performances by Fahrenheit (Thursday 26), Berkana y los Seminuevos (Friday 27), and COOPOC (Saturday 28 at El Cañaveral), as well as sessions by renowned DJs such as Wally López (Friday 27), Dj Nano (Saturday 28 at 00:30 h) and Miss Tempo (Saturday 28 at 1:45 h). There will also be orchestras and music for dancing, such as Distrito Band, Diamante and Grupo Sonido, spread throughout the festive nights.
More than concerts at the Vicálvaro Festivities
In addition to free concerts, the Fiestas de Vicálvaro have numerous contests and very particular traditional activities: olive stone throwing, espadrille throwing, Spanish omelette contest, boot drinkers and ballroom dancing contest, as well as a popular meal and dancing with an orchestra in the Plaza Juan Carlos Onetti. Children will be able to enjoy inflatables, face-painting workshops, children’s shows such as Canta y Baila and El viaje infinito, and mini road safety circuits.
Sports will also play an important role with the International Roller Marathon, basketball and chess tournaments, and the Madrid Corre por Vicálvaro (Madrid Runs for Vicálvaro) popular race. Culture will be present with theater(La cena de los idiotas, Toc toc toc, La subasta de las musas), flamenco masterclass and performances by the Vicálvaro Dance Association.
The opening speech, given by the journalist Mª José Escalera, will officially open the festivities on Thursday, June 26 at 9:30 pm. Among the most anticipated moments, there will be the traditional fireworks display on the night of Saturday 28 at the CDM Margot Moles.
