Madrid boasts cultural events that, season after season, remain at the forefront of innovation, entertainment and surprise. This is the case of WAH, a magnificent show that is an amalgam of arts: live music, interpretation, gastronomy and, of course, performance. Year after year, it fills its large Food Hall and theater with thrill-seekers. Y you can buy your tickets here to experience it for the first time or to repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat..
WAH, a parallel universe inside Madrid
what would you do if they banned music? WAH Madrid is the experience and that world of its own within the city that will answer your question. One in which music is forbidden but survives clandestinely in these parties held in the IFEMA Pavilion 2.
Not surprisingly, it has established itself as one of the world’s leading essential experience in the city that does not skimp on audiovisual media and cutting-edge technologies.
WAH Madrid returns every month betting on artistic talent and the best gastronomy. It is difficult to define WAH Madrid. But not impossible. To begin with, we find ourselves at the gates of a parallel world, of a story in which we will be part of the protagonist. Here we go.
The Omega Nation has banned music. But… what if in that melody-less world a group of rebels held clandestine parties to keep it more alive than ever? This is WAH Madrid. The “hidden” party where you will be able to taste travelers’ dishes from different cuisines of the world and dance endlessly celebrating the hymns of the history of music.
In addition, during the Saturday and Sunday morning sessions, children under 12 years of age are admitted free of charge.
WAH Madrid: a review of the songs of our life
why WAH has set a milestone? To begin with, for a show that exudes the musical and artistic strength of the great Broadway shows that starts off with a bang: conquering the audience through the stomach. The first leg takes place at the Food Hall a gigantic gastronomic street food Zone with twelve stations where unusual characters and artists parade and entertain the arrival of the spectators.
In the same (gigantic) Zone, you can test international dishes the menu includes sushi, baos, gyozas, hamburgers, Mexican food and, as a nod to Spanish gastronomy, trays of Iberian ham and Manchego cheeses. There is also no lack of vegan proposals such as salads, wraps and hummus.
Once inside, on stage, the artists WAH Madrid star in a show that draws on references such as Marvel, Disney and the Berlin opera in a journey through the history of music that recalls Puccini, Guns & Roses, David Guetta, Paco de Lucía and Lady Gaga.
The macro show features state-of-the-art technology to recreate scenarios where artists perform music in surprising scenic proposals and in an environment that invites vindication, fun in company and artistic experimentation. Let’s save the music!
