If you are reading this is because you know about adrenaline, risk and motor, and there is nothing left for next June 27, when the Palacio Vistalegre is transformed into a cage of adrenaline with X-Gravity Freestyle Motocross: a show that is not of this earthly world, but of the sky. Literally. Because there, suspended in the air, is where the riders draw their pirouettes, their madness. And they do it with such insulting ease that sometimes it seems that the laws of gravity are a suggestion rather than a rule. There are still tickets left (surprisingly) so get yourshere so they don’t tell you about it.
And it’s no coincidence that it’s happening in Vistalegre. Within these walls, no normal things are done: incredible concerts have happened here, boxing matches that are history and, now, the return of freestylemotocross . It was about time that the capital met again with this sport.
The lineup: legends, young specialists and an iconic DJ
Here are some of the names that will get the whole pavilion out of its seat:
- David Rinaldo: Frenchman, FMX world champion. We start strong.
- Clinton Moore: Australian, former Red Bull X-Fighters champion, and master of the 720 (yes, a 720 degree turn, like a donut but in the air).
- Dany Torres: from Seville, classic, elegant… and an experienced rider in national and international competitions and shows.
- Edgar Torronteras: a living legend. Pioneer of freestyle in Europe, the one who started it all. If anyone has jumped before anyone else, it’s him.
- Jose ‘Mincha’ Canosa: National runner-up and with a tsunami front flip that makes you wonder: “How does he not kill himself?”.
Come on, it’s not a show, part of the history of FMX passing through Madrid.
DJ Nano: because the jumps taste better with music.
The soundtrack could not be missing. DJ Nano will be in charge of putting rhythm to the show, mixing songs of yesterday and today (and tomorrow, maybe?). What happens is that DJ Nano knows how to read the audience like no one else, and when a trick leaves you speechless, he blows it up with a drop. Pure magic.
