This weekend, the town of Vallecas enters the final stretch of its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Torre 2026: celebrations that began on September 4 and will culminate this Sunday with a program that still has many activities ahead for everyone to enjoy as a community, regardless of age.
Among them is, for example, the storytelling performance *El carro de Federico*, scheduled for Saturday the 12th at 6:00 p.m. on the Federico García Lorca Promenade. The synopsis of the show reads as follows: “Federico travels from town to town with his cart full of stories, but one day he arrived in a town where no one knew how to read—no one except Don Señorón.”
The festivities will come to a spectacular close on Sunday the 13th at 11:00 p.m. at El Original Park ( Avenida del Ensanche de Vallecas, at the corner of Avenida de las Suertes) with a grand fireworks display.
