A fair dedicated entirely to antique toys, collectibles and pop nostalgia lands this weekend in the mountains of Madrid… but only for one day. This is the 6th edition of MercaJuguete, to be held on Saturday, January 10 at the Planetocio Shopping Center in Collado Villalba, with free admission and free parking throughout the day, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
MercaJuguete will bring together more than 15 specialized exhibitors who will offer for sale thousands of pieces for all tastes and pockets, from authentic vintage rarities to more current collections. At the stands you will be able to find classics such as electric trains, scale cars, Juegos Reunidos, Exin Cinema, Geyperman, Madelman, Airgamboys, Nancy, Barbie or Scalextric, along with contemporary icons such as Star Wars, Funko, Playmobil, LEGO, Hot Wheels or 3D printed figures.
A market for all budgets

Guillermo Naranjo, organizer of the event, insists that Mercajuguete is not an elitist event, but an accessible market where there are everything from highly sought-after pieces to affordable toys. “Our goal is to share the passion for collecting and keep alive the magic of the toys that marked an era,” he sums up, convinced that many visitors will take advantage of the fair to search for that “childhood treasure” that never made it home or was lost over the years.
In fact, the fair is held just after Epiphany, a time when, as Naranjo himself says, “the magic begins for those of us who are still looking for that treasure of our childhood, where the past and present of toys and action figures come together”.
Laser swords, sport and spectacle
Beyond the stands, this edition of MercaJuguete will have a very special attraction: the free laser swords exhibitions and workshops given by the Ludosport Madrid team. Anyone, children or adults, will be able to learn how to handle these sabers in the purest galactic style, in an activity that combines sport, spectacle and fun and that fits perfectly with the pop culture atmosphere of the event.
Throughout the day there will be different raffles with special gifts, from discounts and games to tickets for exhibitions and museums, designed to round off the visit and reinforce the family and participatory nature of the fair. With continuous hours, free access and a mix of antique toys, pop culture and activities for all ages, MercaJuguete is shaping up to be one of the most appealing weekend plans for those who want to start the year full of nostalgia and, perhaps, leave with some treasure under their arm.
