Madrid’s Mercado de Motores, located in the nostalgic surroundings of the Railway Museum, is transformed this weekend into a gastronomic and cultural gathering where the protagonists are artisanal cheeses and wine. Among old locomotives and historic wagons, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a gastronomic experience: the guided tasting of Quesos La Mueda, a family cheese factory with more than 70 years of tradition and recognized with several international medals.
During October 11 and 12, those who come will be able to explore six exclusive varieties of sheep and goat cheese, each selected to showcase the diversity, character and artisanal care of the brand.
The tasting is accompanied by a perfect pairing with wines from Castilla-La Mancha, both red and white, fresh and fruity, and a special finishing touch: fresh sheep’s milk, milked the day before and pasteurized, to close the circle of flavor in a journey of textures and nuances.
Guided cheese tasting at the Mercado de Motores
An expert will guide attendees through this sensory journey, teaching how to identify notes and nuances of cheeses and wines, as well as sharing curiosities about production, pairing secrets and the values of gastronomic craftsmanship.
The tasting will be held at the La Mueda stand, on the right platform of the Railway Museum (Paseo de las Delicias, 61), with limited seating and advance reservations through the website. A gourmet plan for foodies, couples, curious and anyone who wants to discover the best artisan products in one of the most emblematic markets of the city.
