The Madrid City Council has launched a new public auction of electronic devices from the Lost and Found Office, a unique opportunity to get technology at bargain prices. For only four days, between October 13 and 16, anyone can attend the exhibition in person at Nicolás Morales 38, in the district of Carabanchel, or bid until October 23 online through the specialized website of Surus Inversa (escrapalia.com).
More than 550 items are on sale at the auction, including cell phones in lots from 46 euros and tablets from 25 euros. The catalog is very varied and goes beyond: it includes laptops from only 40 euros (or lots of up to 26 MacBooks for 637 euros), compact and reflex cameras from 27 euros, GoPro action cameras from 23 euros, a drone for 28 euros and 62 electronic books of the main brands (Kindle, Kobo, Sony…), with individual starting prices from 23 euros or packs of up to 10 Kindle for 225 euros. For the most gamers, the auction offers portable and desktop consoles such as PlayStation, Nintendo DS, PSVita and up to 15 units of Nintendo Switch at 25 euros each.
77,800 objects from Madrid’s Lost and Found Office to be auctioned.

All devices have previously undergone secure data erasure, complying with current data protection regulations, and have remained unclaimed for two years at the municipal office. The auction is organized in 138 lots to guarantee variety and favor the circular economy, allowing to give a second useful life to all these objects that, in addition, represent an extra income for the public coffers.
During 2024, the Madrid City Council’s Lost and Found Office has received more than 77,800 objects, mostly from Madrid’s airport, making it one of the most active in the country in the management of forgotten items.
The aim of the auction is twofold: to encourage responsible consumption and the reuse of devices in good condition, and to facilitate access to technology at low prices. It is also an exceptional opportunity for those looking to renew their equipment without investing large sums of money. To participate, all you have to do is register on the online platform, consult the lots, visit the exhibition if you wish and place your bid before October 23.
