While Zendaya and Tom Holland strolled through La Latina and ended up having dinner at Tresdè last Sunday, this Tuesday Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio decided to stop by the restaurant of one of the world’s greatest chefs, who also happens to be from Madrid. Bad Bunny thus adds a new chapter to his eventful time in the capital by appearing at one of Dabiz Muñoz’s most famous restaurants: StreetXO Madrid.
Although the Puerto Rican artist has already been spotted at other dinners in the capital during the weeks of his 10-concert run, this time it was the chef himself who fueled the fan frenzy by sharing a photo of them together on Instagram , thus confirming that the “Bad Bunny” has finally sampled the most affordable and street-style version of the XO universe.
Bad Bunny enters the StreetXO universe
StreetXO, located in El Corte Inglés on Serrano Street, serves as the more laid-back side of the XO universe: an open bar, an open kitchen, loud music, and dishes that blend Asian and Latin American influences with the chef’s local creative vision. That Bad Bunny chose (or accepted the invitation to) this venue makes sense when you consider that the singer has built his career precisely on fusion, taking risks, and breaking the mold—which is exactly Dabiz Muñoz’s philosophy.
Although neither the Madrid-based chef nor Bad Bunny has specified exactly what the artist ate, the menu features sublime dishes where the combinations really come together, such as his octopus taco or fried wonton filled with Arbizu chistorra sausage, eggs, and potatoes—and even the croquettes with Pedroche-style nigiri. He likely also enjoyed a cocktail or two—which are an experience in themselves, largely due to the way they’re served: balloon glasses you have to hold with both hands or a giant, steaming egg.
In any case, after spending weeks among the people of Madrid, Bad Bunny has learned to eat, stroll, and live almost like a local.
