The Benidorm Fest has become a social event since in 2021 RTVE recovered it as an official contest to choose the candidate to represent Spain in Eurovision. Before getting to know who will be the candidate, there are two previous seminals: the first one will be held on Tuesday, January 28 and the second one on Thursday, January 30.
In this fourth edition of the contest, a total of 16 artists will participate and will be divided in half to entertain the first two galas. As in previous years, among the contestants there are already some veteran names among a majority of young proposals. This time Sonia and Selena will perform on Tuesday and Melody, who already tried to represent Spain in 2008, will participate on Thursday.
The 8 chosen from the two semifinals will compete against each other one last time on Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 pm. The event will also feature performances by last year’s winners: Nebulossa. In addition to Amaral and Rigoberta Bandini, finalist of the 2022 edition.
Where to see and celebrate Benidorm Fest in Madrid?
The Eurovision furor has also spread to this festival and to follow it live there are those who prefer to leave home and share the excitement of the moment, as when celebrating a final of a sports tournament.
To watch the live broadcast of RTVE on the big screen, Yelmo cinemas have enabled this Saturday two theaters: one in the Ideal Cinemas and another in the Isalazul Shopping Center. The price of the ticket varies according to the menu that accompanies it: 9,90 € with popcorn and 14,90 € with a dish to choose.
Another meeting point for eurofans and benifans will be the Sala Badulaque, in Chamberí. Here, in addition, you can watch the semi-finals on a big screen and the ticket includes a drink.
