This weekend, there’s no need to go to the flea market or any second-hand store to get second-hand clothes and accessories starting at €1. The Recumadrid circular market will hold a new edition on Saturday, February 21, from 9:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. at the warehouse on Calle Trole, 10 (Puente de Vallecas).
The initiative is committed to sustainability, giving products a new lease of life. It is also a charity market, as all the money raised will go to the Recumadrid association, which helps people at risk of social exclusion find work.
Vintage fashion and more

The items will be dedicated to the winter season, with coats starting at €5, clothing between €3 and €20, and accessories starting at €1. You will find styles for men, women, and children, with a wide variety at low prices.
The products come from various donations and, according to Recumadrid’s social media accounts, all of them undergo an ozone oxygenation process. This guarantees hygiene and reduces washing time.
But vintage fashion is not the only thing that will be sold at the circular market, as shoes, furniture, decorative items, household goods, and even books are also included, always at affordable prices.
Beyond the market

The circular market is only held once a month, but you can continue shopping on their Wallapop profile and in Recumadrid’s physical stores, which maintain their values of commitment and sustainability.
They currently have three stores in different parts of Madrid. The Villaverde store is located at 37 Avenida Espinela, while the Carabanchel store is at 23 Calle Albatros. Both are open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
And, of course, they also have a presence in Malasaña, a Madrid neighborhood famous for its vintage fashion. They also sell their products at 4 San Joaquín Street, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Joining the cycle

Buying is not the only way to collaborate with Recumadrid, as you can also donate products that are later sold at the market and in physical stores. The idea of the circular economy is to give a second chance to items that are no longer used, and the association proposes a very simple alternative: donating them.
You can request a collection by contacting the organization so that they can come and collect the items themselves, which is ideal in the case of bulky items. Other options include leaving them in textile containers or at any of Recumadrid’s physical stores .
