From July 9 to 11, big names like Calvin Harris, Dellafuente, Robbie Williams, FKA twigs, David Byrne, and Lily Allen will take over Kobetamendi, ensuring a birthday party in style. Once again, Basoa and Lasai offer a different (and complementary) way to enjoy Kobetamendi through sonic exploration, expanding Bilbao BBK Live’s electronic lineup beyond the main stages. At Basoa, the festival’s “sacred forest,” the 20th anniversary will be celebrated with acts such as 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, Optimo (Espacio), DJ Koze, and Paula Tape, as well as the debut of legends like Donato Dozzy and DJ Nobu.
Meanwhile, the Lasai stage reaffirms itself as a contemplative haven to slow down, featuring the Minor AM collective (with Suze Ijó and James Massiah) and Meritxell de Soto, alongside artists such as Somadamantina, Genosidra, and Ylia.

20 Years of Bilbao BBK Live: Historic Lineups
The festival took its first steps in 2006, still under the name Bilbao Live, featuring an eclectic lineup headlined by Guns N’ Roses. Its second edition, now as Bilbao BBK Live, made a strong commitment to rock, with Metallica, Iron Maiden, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Over the following years, Kobetamendi became accustomed to hosting legends who defined the festival’s DNA and drew thousands of international attendees: Depeche Mode (2009), Pearl Jam (2010), Coldplay (2011), and Radiohead (2012) are just a few examples.
The first sold-out show came in 2014, with The Black Keys and The Prodigy as headliners. A year later, the 10th-anniversary celebration featuring Muse marked the beginning of a new era. The festival embraced indie, electronic, and urban genres, inaugurating the Basoa stage and defining the hybrid identity that characterizes it today. This second decade has featured names like Gorillaz, Childish Gambino, Rosalía, J Balvin, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, and Arcade Fire, confirming its status as an essential summer music event.
