The promotion of births is one of the topics present in the road map of the regional government of Madrid and this is corroborated by the different measures it has been approving in this matter, such as the birth grants.
Among them -there are many and there is even a specific search engine to find them- are the so-called “Economic aids of monthly payment for gestation, birth of a child or adoption of minors in the Community of Madrid”, through which it is possible to obtain 500 € per month for 24 months (in total, up to 12,000 € per year).
The recipients of these birth grants are people up to 30 years of age with incomes below €30,000 per year and who fit in any of these cases:
- Women in the 21st week or more of pregnancy.
- Women who have been mothers of children up to 24 months old.
- People who have adopted a child as of January 2022.

In addition to the above, applicants must have legal residence in Spain and reside and be registered in the Community of Madrid for at least five years, within the ten years prior to the date of submission of the application. While benefiting from the assistance, the applicant must also live in the region.
On the economic level, the individual income of the person requesting the aid must be less than €30,000. In the case of the family unit, the income may not exceed €36,200 -the IRPF of the last tax period due at the time of submitting the application will be taken into account-.
Finally, the person in question must be eligible for subsidies according to the subsidy regulations.
How to submit the application?
The procedure can be carried out both digitally and in person, and the steps are described in this link.
The application period is open continuously from January 1 to December 31 of each year. However, in order to receive the aid “it will be necessary the publication by the granting body of the declaration of the available budgetary credits”, according to the Community of Madrid.
The maximum term of resolution will be 3 months. If no response has been received within that time, silence will mean that the application has been rejected.
