From next November 4, it will be possible to apply for the rental subsidies of the Community of Madrid for young people, people over 65 years old and vulnerable families. The benefits will cover 50% of the rent for one year (from January 1 to December 31), with a maximum of 900 euros per month in the case of complete properties and 450 per room in a shared apartment.
They may be requested until December 15 and are aimed at the citizens of 55 municipalities of the Community of Madrid, extending the coverage with respect to the 29 of 2024. Also included are large families, single-parent families, people with disabilities or victims of terrorism.
The investment was approved last October 22 by the Governing Council, which allocated 21.7 million euros for the aid. They are part of the funds of the State Plan for Access to Housing 2022/25 and it is estimated that they will benefit more than 7,000 Madrilenians, according to the Community of Madrid.

The procedure can be carried out digitally, using an electronic signature system such as the “Identifica” service, the Cl@ve system, the electronic certificate or DNIe. The documents are presented in their digital format and the registration is done through the web.
On the other hand, it is possible to do it in person, by downloading the form in PDF format and taking it printed and filled out to one of the offices enabled for this purpose. It is important to check if an appointment is required and all notifications will be received electronically.
General requirements for assistance

The bases of this new call can be consulted on the website of the headquarters of the Community of Madrid. The general requirements to apply for the aid are to have Spanish nationality or regular stay in Spain; to have a rental contract or a contract of cession of use of a dwelling or room and that this is the habitual and permanent residence .
In addition, there are some circumstances that prevent the application for the subsidy: being the owner of a dwelling, being a partner or being related to the lessor, or having previously received a similar subsidy that has been cancelled. The Law on Subsidies also includes incompatible situations with which it is not possible to benefit.
As for the rent, it can reach a maximum of 900 euros if it is a complete dwelling or 450 euros for rooms in shared apartments.
