It has been held since 1999—a long history that earns it the title of the oldest medieval market in the region—and the dates for 2026 have already been set: the Guadarrama Medieval Market, just a 45-minute drive from Madrid, will take place this weekend, from Friday, July 31, to Sunday, August 2.
The event, organized by the Guadarrama City Council’s Department of Local Development and MST Eventos, will take place from 6:00 p.m. on Friday to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday throughout the Plaza Mayor, Alfonso Senra Street, and Guadarrama Municipal Park.
That’s where the various artisan stalls will be set up, offering products such as soaps, leather goods, silver, glass, beads, gifts, and jewelry, among many other items.
To further enhance the period atmosphere of the Guadarrama Medieval Market, the crafts will be accompanied by street entertainment and performances such as parades, storytelling, circus acts, music, and characters like minstrels, genies, and ladies.
