The tour includes admission to the imposing Cuenca Cathedral, the Espacio Torner, and the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art (which, interestingly, is tucked away inside the world-famous Hanging Houses). Additionally, one of the trip’s highlights requires a bit of courage: crossing the iconic San Pablo Bridge.
Opened in the early 20th century and reflecting the iron architecture of the era, this red footbridge offers spectacular views of the gorge and the old town. Of course, to get the perfect photo, you’ll have to leave your fear of heights on the couch at home and dare to cross a structure that soars more than 40 meters high.
Houses that defy gravity
The most anticipated moment of the tour comes in front of the Hanging Houses. Their iconic wooden balconies defy gravity over the abyss. Although only three remain today, inside you can travel back in time among Mudejar coffered ceilings, Gothic latticework, and Renaissance decorations.
