Dabiz Muñoz is the first person to win the World’s Best Chef The Best Chef Awards three times in a row. His international fame has led him to take decisions such as raising the price of his menu at DiverXO–today fourth best restaurant on the planet– to 450 euros: a cost somewhat above that of his Spanish competitors. It has also encouraged him to start new projects that are surprisingly affordable. One of them is Hungry Club.
The Hungry Club restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday (from 8:00 to 00:00 hours) and is located in Terminal 4 (Satellite building) at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas. Its aim is that eating is no longer just another formality at the airport, but an experience with which to enjoy haute cuisine. Madrid is not the only city where Muñoz plans to conquer Spanish travelers: the airports of Malaga, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca will soon have a Hungry Club.
Hungry Club: starred dishes for restless travelers
The gastronomic consultancy New Gestion Food assures that “the restaurant’s menu focuses on bold, contrasting flavors and will constantly evolve to maintain freshness and excitement.” He further explains that “the project is designed with the needs of frequent travelers in mind, therefore, dishes are available both at the counter and to-go, in case there is a rush.”
At Hungry Club you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a mid-morning brunch. Among the options on the menu are the hot dog that triumphs in Muñoz’s food trucks (€13.95) and the Pizza Bolognese with kimchi sauce, egg and fries (€22). The Pedroche (16,85€) could not be missing in the dessert chapter. Yes, the cheesecake with a celebrity name that lifestyle magazines talk so much about.

Dabiz Muñoz is excited about his new project. “I travel the five continents every year and I’ve been studying how to create something truly new: a hedonistic, fast and dynamic experience, but one that maintains the quality we demand,” the chef tells New Gestion Food.
