August is not over yet and in San Sebastián de los Reyes it is clear that they want to say goodbye in style. From August 21 to 31 they celebrate the festivities for the Cristo de los Remedios with almost 20 free concerts. Dj Nano and Abel the Kid, Isabel Aaiún, Pignoise, María Parrado or the Panorama Orchestra are just some of the artists or groups that will take the stage.
The shows will take place in two different venues: the Adolfo Conde Municipal Auditorium and the Plaza de la Constitución, separated by a 20-minute walk. There will be live music outdoors in the morning, afternoon and evening, as part of the local program. In addition, both residents and visitors will be able to participate in contests, children’s workshops, religious events and charangas that will maintain the festive spirit.
Spanish rock and DJs
San Sebastián de los Reyes will host during its festivities classics of the Spanish music scene and also new promises such as Isabel Aaiún, who has become a female pop icon with her song La potra salvaje (The Wild Filly).
Dj Nano and Abel de Kid are two of the most influential artists in electronic music and will be responsible for opening the concert program. Next Sunday, August 24, they will offer a show that fuses house, electro and current sounds.
Pignoise celebrates 20 years of career and will recall their greatest hits in the municipal auditorium on Saturday 30. Other great classics that will be on this stage will be Rulo y la Contrabanda and Medina Azahara, the Cordovan group that emerged in 1979 and maintains its musical proposal thanks to the support of the public.
In addition, the Panorama Orchestra will play on Thursday 28 at the soccer field on Teide Street in a unique show. With their fireworks, lights, sounds and a powerful audiovisual montage they have become one of the most popular orchestras in the country and this year they return to San Sebastián de los Reyes to cheer up the public.
How to get to San Sebastian de los Reyes
These concerts are just 20 kilometers from Madrid and can be reached by car, from the A-1 to San Sebastián de los Reyes.
You can also get there by public transport, via metro line 10 and the Reyes Católicos stop. Other options are the C4 commuter line, which stops at Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes, or buses 152, 153, 154 and 161 from Plaza de Castilla.
