If you didn’t listen to My Chemical Romance on your MP3 player in 2007, with your school notebooks in hand and a 50-cent choker around your neck, did you really live 2007? Whether you did or not, now we can (re)live it with Emo Night Brooklyn in Madrid. A huge emo and pop-punk party that has already been a hit in the United States and Canada and is now coming to the capital for just two nights: one of which is this Friday the 13th.
What is Emo Night Brooklyn?
A night of nostalgia, but the good kind. Emo Night Brooklyn is a huge party where a live DJ plays the songs that defined an era and whose lyrics are tattooed on our minds. Lights, decibels like you’d expect at a concert, and (most likely) moshing in an experience where it will be hard not to want to jump and sing along to every note.
Emo-pop and rock music was born in the United States during the 1990s and early 2000s with bands like Paramore and Blink-182. It’s a musical era that we’re now listening to again and, above all, experiencing live with events like this one.
