The end of the great August festivals in the capital does not mean, far from it, the end of the festivities in the Community of Madrid. It is precisely at this time when the festivities of the various municipalities shine with their programs of activities and concerts, as will happen in a few days with the festivities of Colmenar Viejo 2025 in honor of the Virgen de los Remedios.

And despite the fact that the festivities are from August 29 to September 2, the starting signal will be given by the Remedios 2025 Concerts a week earlier, on August 22, 23 and 24 at the Plaza de Toros de La Corredera. Some of them are free.

• Friday, August 22 at 23:00h. Double DJ music session: BJones and DJ Nano. Free of charge.
• Saturday, August 23 at 22:00h. Performance by the Cadiz singer Abraham Mateo. Tickets are priced at 5.40 € and can be purchased on this website. After the concert, DJ session by Fonsi Nieto with free admission.
• Sunday, August 24 at 22:00h. Free concert until full capacity of Mägo de Oz.

• 20:00h. Traditional Hortelanos Contest, open only to orchards and tomatoes from Colmenar Viejo. El Mirador Park.

Thursday, August 28, 2025

• From 12:00 to 15:00h. Great inflatable playground in the avenue of Los Remedios.
• 13:00h. Party ‘Zumos Pago’ with face painting and games for the little ones (with ‘Al salir del cole’) in the marquee of the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros. At 14:00h concert by Cerrado por Vacaciones (rumbas) and at 16:00h music session with DJ Dani.
• From 19:00 to 22:00h. Big inflatable playground in the Avda. de Los Remedios.
• 22:00h. Concert by Sildavia (pop-rock) in the marquee of the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros.
• 23:00h. Tribute to Hombres G with the group Los Geiperman. Town Square.
• 00:00h. Party ‘Remixes & Club Beats’ in the marquee of the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros, with DJ Goran DK and DJ Samba.
• From 00:00h to 04:00h. DJ Chechu in the beach bars of the associations.
• From 01:00 to 04:00h. DJ Evo will animate the Plaza del Pueblo.

Friday, August 29th, 2025

• From 08:30 to 12:30h and from 20:00 to 00:00h. Chocolate with churros for the elderly of the municipality in Casa Nico (C/ Estanco, 6). From 10:00h to 21:00h, in the Social Center ‘El Vivero’ and in the Senior Center ‘Paraguay’.
• 12:00h. Exhibition of the Kairos Rhythmic Sports Club School; at 14:00h, rock karaoke with Kararocker, and at 16:00h music session with DJ Xinly. Tent on the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros.
• 20:45h. Chupinazo in the Plaza del Pueblo. At the same time, parade of giants, bigheaded and dulzaineros with the following route: Plaza del Pueblo, Basilica, C/ Viento, Plaza de la Berenjena, C/ Capitán Gómez Pinto, C/ Dr. González Serrano, C/ San Sebastián, Avda. de Los Remedios and Canto de la Virgen.

• 21:30h, arrival of the Virgen de los Remedios to the Canto and then a great fireworks display.

• 10:30h. Concerts by the Colmenar Viejo Music Band at the Residencia de Ntra. Sra. de la Soledad y del Carmen and at 13:30h in the ‘Santiago Esteban Junquer’ Park.
• From 11:00h. The Agrupación de Canteros de Colmenar Viejo organizes in the Plaza de Toros the traditional demonstration of stone cutting. There will be charanga of animation.
• 11:30h. Children’s foam party in ‘El Mirador’ Park. From 11:30 to 14:30h, large inflatable playground in the Avda. de Los Remedios.
• 12:00h. Vermouth with a variety of music in the marquee of the Esplanade of the bullring.
• 12:30h. Exhibition of small oxen, which will go from the Glorieta ‘El Yiyo’ to the bullring ‘La Corredera’, where from 13:00h there will be release of cattle.

• 14:00h. Popular lunch: solidarity paella (3 euros) for the benefit of UAPO; at the same time, concert by Pan de Telera (flamenco), and at 16:00h music session with DJ Goyo. Tent of the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros.
• 18:00h.Children’s Chess Tournament ‘Virgen de los Remedios’, organized by the Chess Club Colmenar Viejo. Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros.

• 21:00h. Ham cutter (Iberian Hams Spain) in the marquee of the Esplanade of the Plaza de Toros.
