Since the launch of the iconic Elden Ring, Bandai Namco has become a global corporation with great influence in the video game industry worldwide. It is the merger of two entertainment giants: Namco, the company that invented Pac-Man in the 1980s, and Bandai, creator of the Power Rangers series and the famous Tamagotchi.
Following the expansion of its catalog in the Spanish market, Bandai Namco opened its own store in Madrid on December 21. It is located at 116 San Bernardo Street (downtown), and is open every day of the week from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Until this month, fans of the brand found its products in department stores, toy stores and conventional video game stores. Now they can buy all the brand’s most sought-after items at its new official store, including games inspired by popular manga series such as Naruto, One Piece or Bleach.
The gashapon section
One of the biggest charms of the store is the section dedicated to the gashapon: a Japanese phenomenon that could not be missing in the new geek temple in Madrid. It is an encapsulated toy that comes out of a vending machine with a very kawaii design.
In the gashapones section we see machines inspired by dozens of anime. Its operation is simple: first coins are inserted into it, then the crank is turned and the capsule falls into the collection tray. Inside the capsule, users find surprise figures that they can collect and exchange with other collectors.
In addition to gashapons and video games, Bandai Namco Shop has a wide variety of minix: small plastic dolls between 7 and 12 centimeters that represent popular characters from franchises such as Breaking Bad, Stranger Things or LaLiga.
