Pokémon fans have a unique event to look forward to this Saturday, February 28, in Madrid: for the first time in its history, the Pokémon GO Global Tour will be stopping in our country, specifically in the capital, at the Experience Center of the Madrid in Game Video Game Campus. The date chosen is no coincidence: just one day earlier is Pokémon Day.
The venue chosen for the occasion, located within Casa de Campo (Avenida Principal, 3, Moncloa-Aravaca), will host this event, which will be held between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will bring together all the Pokémon communities in the region. What’s more, admission is completely free.
The program for the event includes competitions, gifts, and special items related to the tour (while supplies last), live activities (such as a quiz contest), official routes, and meetings with prominent trainers who will be signing autographs: Inanilux, Keibron Gamer, Niharra Master, and Paranoias Gamers will be in attendance.
There will also be game bonuses, treasure hunts, and Leo Marín Torres, alias “P4T0M4N, “ two-time European champion of the European International Pokémon Championship (EUIC) in 2025 and 2026 and runner-up at the World Championship in Anaheim in 2025, will be there to teach and share tips.

Pokémon and its relationship with Spain

The link between Pokémon and Spain is not new: the launch of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games in 2022 was met with great enthusiasm among the Spanish community when they discovered that there were references to locations in different cities in Spain.
Among the landscapes featured in the game are the Tabernas Desert in Almería, Parc Güell and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and Madrid’s Plaza Mayor.
