This weekend, the Recinto Ferial de Las Rozas will be the epicenter of vintage treasures and decoration with the arrival of the VI Gran Desembalaje, an appointment as expected as unique in the agenda of flea markets in Madrid.
Inspired by the traditional French deballages, the unpacking proposes a “truck-side” sale: more than 120 antique dealers and brocantes unload their vans and trucks directly, unpack furniture, collector’s items, lamps and thousands of unique pieces to put them immediately on sale at bargain prices.
This edition will be held on September 12 and 13, from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm, at the Recinto Ferial de Las Rozas, with free admission and free parking. In 20,000 square meters, the event brings together treasures from stately homes, hotels and residences in Spain, France and Portugal: vintage sofas, gilded mirrors, porcelain, handmade carpets, modernist paintings, beautiful textiles and sturdy furniture that add history, charm and character to any room.
What you can find at the Gran Desembalaje in Las Rozas
The atmosphere is also reminiscent of the early morning market: speed and instinct define who gets the best bargains, and the margin for direct negotiation with the sellers makes each purchase a small challenge.
In addition to furniture, at the Gran Desembalaje de Las Rozas you can find original objects, antique books, crockery, glassware, art deco lamps, musical instruments and even textiles with a lot of history. The event also promotes sustainability and recycling, inviting you to give a second (or third) life to pieces that, in many cases, belonged to luxury and international design environments.
To get there from Madrid Center, just take the A-6 or bus 625 from Moncloa and come early: most of the most sought-after pieces disappear in the early hours.
