Can an entire literary and cinematographic universe be condensed in an exhibition and can this exhibition satisfy an audience of different generations? After having opened its doors in cities like Boston, Macao, São Paulo or Barcelona, the people of Madrid will be able to check from this Friday, October 4, if the great immersive and itinerant Harry Potter exhibition can be attributed these merits.
That is the date on which Harry Potter: The Exhibition will open its doors in the capital, specifically in the Espacio Ibercaja Delicias (Paseo de las Delicias, 61, Madrid). And it does so with the promise of being the “most comprehensive traveling exhibition ever presented on the world of Harry Potter,” which has already been visited by more than 2 million fans worldwide.
In the words of Tom Zaller, president and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions, the immersive Harry Potter expo “celebrates the cinematic magic behind the scenes […] like no other experience”.
What is the immersive Harry Potter expo like?
Visitors to the exhibition will encounter everything from original costumes and authentic props from the films to recreations of mythical environments and settings from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts universes.
And not only that: they will also be able to experience first-hand what it’s like to play Quidditch, how to brew a potion or replant a mandrake and how it feels to earn points for your own Hogwarts house, among other experiences.
