Thousands of students in the Community of Madrid are facing these days the Selectividad 2025 (PAU) exams: four days -from June 3 to 6- in which nerves, sleep, last minute reviews but also the illusion and the desire to finish to enjoy the summer form a cocktail from which will come out something for which they have been working all the baccalaureate: to reach or exceed the cut-off mark to access the career they want to study. And as every year, the question arises as to which are the highest cut-off grades.
Some of the highest cut-off marks in the country are concentrated in Madrid’s public universities, and although Medicine continues to be one of the careers that requires the highest entrance qualification (13.265 at the UCM), there are other branches of knowledge that require practically the same perfection in the test, which represents 14 points.
These figures contrast with those of a decade ago: a recent report published by El PaĂs throws the data that in 2015 “only 3.05% of those who passed the Selectividad achieved a grade higher than nine”. And it was enough to study the most demanded careers.
The 10 careers with the highest cut-off marks in Madrid.
These are the 10 careers in public universities in Madrid with the highest cut-off marks, according to data from the Community of Madrid. Keep in mind that this is the grade of the last student who entered each degree in the ordinary call for the 2024/2025 academic year: to know the provisional results of this year will have to wait until the next day 13.
