The celebrations around the so-called Columbus Day, with Mexico as guest country, are about to begin: from Friday October 4 until Sunday October 13, the Community of Madrid has prepared a program with 184 proposals including free concerts, dance, theater, folklore, gastronomy, film or art. And among them is also the largest parade of Hispanidad to date in the capital, which will take place this Saturday, October 5.
More than 1,000 people from 22 countries will participate in this great Hispanic parade under the slogan All accents fit in Madrid. It will start at 18:30h from Plaza de España and will continue its route to the confluence of Gran Vía and Alcalá street, advancing along Gran Vía.
In total there will be six participating floats, in front of which will be Mexico, which, as we said, is the guest country of this edition. The participating groups are as follows:
- Legends of Mexico
- Mariachi “Sol de América
- Macondo from Colombia
- Ballet Dominicano from Europe

On the other hand, Madrid will be represented through “a tribute to zarzuela and will parade circus and theater companies such as Morboria, Kanbahiota, Brotons, la Sal and Drao Producciones”, according to the Community of Madrid. The parade is designed for all audiences and access is free.
