The potato omelet is a classic of our cuisine, and Fuenlabrada dedicates a fair to it that will keep the classic debatealive (with or without onion) and add new ingredients to the recipe.
From February 5 to 8, establishments throughout the municipality will bring out their best creations and compete in the Tortilla Fair. All pinchos will cost €2.50, and optionally, two other tapas whose main ingredient is egg, potato, or both can be included.
And on Saturday , the traditional Tortilla Daywill be celebrated in the Parque Ferial, where there will be award ceremonies, workshops, live music, and the free distribution of a giant tortilla. According to the City Council, the event will begin at 12:00 noon and continue until 6:00 p.m.

This year , a total of 62 establishments will participate, putting their skills to the test to make a traditional potato omelet and also to innovate. There will be all kinds of combinations: omelet with chorizo, with cream cheese and bacon, with roast lamb, with chicken, and even with shrimp and melted cheese.
All the dishes and participating restaurants can be found on the Degusta Fuenlabrada website. For them, it is the perfect opportunity to make themselves known and attract new visitors who want to try local flavors.
The public will decide the First Prize for Best Tortilla in Fuenlabrada and also in the different districts. Voting will take place among all participating customers, who will also be entered into a draw for five lunches or dinners worth €50 at the participating establishments.

According to data from the City Council, more than 3,000 votes were castin the last edition, which represented a high turnout. The prize for the Best Tortilla in Fuenlabrada was won by the El Dorado Lixtogrill , with its truffle tortilla.
Now it’s time to find out which restaurant will have the best recipe in 2026. And to further promote the winning restaurants, the weekend after the fair (March 13-15) , they will once again serve their pinchos at the same price of €2.50.
