Madrid, get ready: the dinosaur park we all grew up with will come to life in the official exhibition Jurassic World: The Experience. What will we find? Scenes from the saga, life-size moving dinosaurs, the laboratory of the mythical Professor Hammond, adorable dino hatchlings… and much more. It will be located in the Espacio Ibercaja Delicias from May 30. Tickets are already on sale.
Few scenes are as epic as the one in the movie Jurassic Park in which Professor John Hammond looks at infinity and says: “Welcome to Jurassic Park“. Then, the camera changes perspective and BOOM! A green landscape, teeming with Barosaurus and Parasaurolophus. We all feel the thrill, chills, I wish we were there! This new exhibit brings back that excitement with an exciting journey into the interior of Isla Nublar.
To get to this jurassic place, we will have to travel by ferry (yes, by ferry) and then cross the iconic Jurassic World, that space where dinosaurs roam free. From here on, we are not in Madrid: we are at the mercy of the dinosaurs.
What will we find in Jurassic World: The Experience?
To begin with, an iconic moment: going through the entrance gates of Isla Nublar, that space where dinosaurs roam free. From here on, we are not in Madrid: we are in a Jurassic place at the mercy of dinosaurs.
We will be able to observe, up close, life-size representations of dinosaurs, which will move throughout the experience. For example, we will walk under the imposing figure of a Brachiosaurus (did you know that it was one of the largest dinosaurs and that the most beautiful specimens could measure up to 25 meters in height?), feel the breath of a Tyrannosaurus Rex (yes, you know which scene we are referring to in the movie) or escape from angry velociraptors.
Jurassic World: The Experience arrives in Madrid after visiting Toronto, Atlanta, Bangkok, Melbourne and London. And from these exhibitions we know that one of the public’s favorites is Blue, the female Velociraptor raised by Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) in Jurassic World.
As it could not be otherwise, science is also important in this exhibition. Not surprisingly, in one of the scenarios (the creation laboratory) the park’s geneticists will discover the ins and outs and scientific secrets of Isla Nublar, from DNA trapped in amber to the hatching of a dinosaur egg. We’ll even get to see adorable dinosaur hatchlings like Baby Raptor or the more amorous Baby Bumpy.
This prehistoric adventure will take place in the Espacio Ibercaja Delicias, in a location very close to the Delicias stop , both Metro (6 minutes walk) and Cercanías (4 minutes).
