The official Jurassic World: The Experience exhibit has been rocking the city for months: an experience that contains everything from the sets of the saga to life-size dinosaurs, the genetic creation lab, adorable dino hatchlings… and a surprise or two that we don’t want to spoil. Unfortunately, we already know how the movie ends: extinction is getting closer and closer and the dinosaurs will leave Espacio Delicias on February 1st.
How can we forget that scene from the movie that was the origin of the dinomania, Jurassic Park (1993): Professor John Hammond looks at infinity and says: “Welcome to Jurassic Park“. And then the magic happens: the shot changes to a green landscape, full of Barosaurus and Parasaurolophus. We all feel the same excitement and surprise as the protagonists, we wish we were there!
Well, we were already there, and we invite you to live the experience too. If you still have any doubts, read on and we will tell you why you cannot miss this exciting trip to the interior of the Jurassic island.
What do we find in Jurassic World: The Experience?
A word of warning: Jurassic World: The Experience is one of those experiences worth treasuring without spoilers. Surprises are part of the dynamic of the exhibition. There are moments of filmic nostalgia, there are moments (many) for souvenir photography, but there are also moments of unexpected tension that we recommend not to share. Only in this way, those who arrive will be able to live the full experience. And now seriously, where is Blue?
We will be able to observe, up close, life-size representations of dinosaurs, which will move throughout the experience. For example, we will walk under the imposing figure of a Brachiosaurus (did you know that it was one of the largest dinosaurs and that the most beautiful specimens could measure up to 25 meters in height?), feel the breath of a Tyrannosaurus Rex (yes, you know which scene we are referring to in the movie) or escape from angry velociraptors.
Jurassic World: The Experience arrives in Madrid after visiting Toronto, Atlanta, Bangkok, Melbourne and London. And from these exhibitions we know that one of the public’s favorites is Blue, the female Velociraptor raised by Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) in Jurassic World.
As it could not be otherwise, science is also important in this exhibition. Not surprisingly, in one of the scenarios (the creation laboratory) the park’s geneticists will discover the ins and outs and scientific secrets of the Jurassic island, from DNA trapped in amber to the hatching of a dinosaur egg. We’ll even get to see adorable dinosaur hatchlings like Baby Raptor or the more amorous Baby Bumpy.
The great prehistoric adventure takes place in the Espacio Delicias, in a location very close to the Delicias stop, both Metro (6 minutes walk) and Cercanías (4 minutes).
