It will last only three days, but that will be enough to fill such iconic Madrid venues as CentroCentro, the Condeduque Center for Contemporary Culture, and Matadero with free concerts : Piano City returns to the capital once again this year, taking place this week, from June 26 to 28.
This fifth edition of the music festival features a program that has managed to bring together a total of more than 50 free concerts this year , covering a wide variety of musical styles: there’s room for classical music, jazz, and flamenco, as well as electronic music.

Among the musicians participating in this edition are Adrián Sánchez, the Arte Duo, Manuel Moreno Ramírez and Alejandra López, Yuley Díaz… and a long list that can be viewed in full on the official Piano City 2026 website. The complete program for this year is also available there.
The Origins of Piano City
This free concert initiative was created by German musician Andreas Kern —who, by the way, will also be performing this year at the CentroCentro Auditorium on June 27 at 6:10 p.m., with a program that blends classical music and improvisation.
It has been held for over a decade in other European cities such as Naples, Palermo, Novi Sad, and Milan, and now the people of Madrid will have the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
