The National Music Auditorium (Calle del Príncipe de Vergara, 146) is nearing the midpoint of the Scherzo Foundation’s Horizontes Series: a series of concerts that has already featured Pepe Viyuela and Pedro Halffter, has sold out the recital to be headlined by the Paquito D’Rivera Trio (a musician with more than a dozen Grammys), and will bring together, as a grand finale, the duo of Mikhail Pletnev on piano and Marc Bouchkov on violin.
This concert, which concludes the trilogy of this musical series, will take place next Sunday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Chamber Hall of the National Auditorium. The program will feature sonatas by Grieg and Schubert, as well as the Madrid premiere of a sonata composed by Alexey Shor and Mikhail Pletnev himself.
In parallel with this series, the Scherzo Foundation is also organizing the 2025/2026 Great Performers Series, which will feature Eva Gevorgyan, Nikolai Lugansky, and Arcadi Volodos between April and June.
