LGTBIQ+ Pride 2025 in Madrid will once again turn the city into the European epicenter of diversity, vindication and celebration. This year, the festivities will be held from June 26 to July 6, with a program that combines political events, demonstrations, massive concerts, culture and alternative proposals that will fill the streets and squares of the capital with color and visibility.
Proclamation, concerts and Pride 2025 parade
The starting signal will be given with the traditional traditional proclamation in the Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, which this year will be given again by La Plexy on July 2 at 8 pm. From that moment on, the city will be filled with activities, with four large stages in Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, Plaza de las Reinas, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de España, where concerts, shows and DJ sessions will take place every night.
The Pride Festival, to be held from July 2 to 6, will feature a lineup of top national and international artists, among which are already confirmed Ana Torroja, Rozalén, Gloria Trevi, Pastora Soler, Chanel, Edurne, Falete, Nebulossa, La Plexy, Chumina Power and Lucky Love, among many others. The central event will be the great LGTBIQ+ Pride State Demonstration, which will run along the Paseo del Prado from Glorieta de Atocha to Plaza de Colón on Saturday, July 5, starting at 7 pm. This year, the march carries the slogan “20 years advancing in rights: Not one step back”, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the approval of equal marriage in Spain and calling for mobilization against any attempt to roll back the rights of the collective, both nationally and internationally. Around two million people are expected to participate, consolidating Madrid as the capital of the largest Pride in Europe.
Critical Pride 2025
Throughout the week, Madrid will host dozens of cultural activities, exhibitions, lectures, workshops and meetings around diversity and human rights. In addition, alternative collectives and assemblies organize the Critical Pride, a parallel and self-managed demonstration that claims a less commercial and more combative approach, focused on denouncing discrimination and defending the social and political rights of LGTBIQ+ people. The Critical Pride demonstration will take place on June 28 at 8 p.m. and will run through Madrid from Guadalajara Avenue to the city’s main square.
Pride 2025 will be especially vindictive: the organizers warn about the regression of rights in several communities and countries, and call for constant mobilization to protect the progress achieved and demand the full development of the state LGTBI+ and Trans Law, as well as the approval of a State Pact against hate speech. But it will also be a great popular party, with parades, floats, outdoor parties and a musical agenda that will fill the nights of Madrid with diversity and celebration.
