Art lovers have, from today, an important date in Madrid: the celebration of the Art Mile 2025. This event, now in its third year, will once again turn Madrid’s Salamanca neighborhood into the epicenter of art for twelve days, under the direction of Nacho Viguera: from Wednesday, February 26 to Sunday, March 9.
The event counts on the participation of two important galleries of the capital: Aleseide Gallery (Velazquez St., 117) and Pilares Art Gallery (Andres Mellado St., 39). Engravings and Lithographs (Paseo de la Castellana, No. 150, 3rd Right), which specializes in this kind of original works (and others such as etchings or silkscreen prints) by national and international artists, is also joining this edition for the first time.
And although the works on display are for sale, for the general public it is a unique opportunity to see completely free of charge works by great artists of the last century such as Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Eduardo Chillida, Jaume Plensa, Antonio Saura, Pablo Picasso and Fernando Zóbel that had not been shown until now.
What will you see in the Art Mile 2025?
In addition to the aforementioned, visitors will find, from Ediciones Escultura Histórica-Espacio Ferrer-Dalmau, the latest works of the battle painter Ferrer Dalmau and a selection of bronze sculptures of historical figures of our country.
There is also room for pieces by sculptor José Leal and for emerging art. In total, the event will bring together more than two hundred pieces including paintings, engravings and sculptures that can be approached by collectors, institutions and anyone interested in art.
Location and opening hours
This ephemeral exhibition can be visited at Serrano Street, 59 from 11 am to 9 pm.
