Painting exhibitions
1924. Other surrealisms
Surrealism attracted painters from different corners of the world, with perspectives far removed from the first stage of the movement, promoted by André Breton. The exhibition 1924 approaches these figures -bothSpanish and Latin American- not as well known as Dalí, but also influential.
In this way, Fundación MAPFRE celebrates the centenary of the Manifesto of Surrealism, Breton’s publication that served as a starting point for the artists of the movement. Works by René Magritte, Óscar Domínguez and Dalí himself, among other painters, will arrive at Recoletos for us to reflect on the subconscious world through art.
