A medieval fair where you can even learn to make blown glass: it’s only this weekend

Who said that to attend a medieval fair you have to leave the capital? Although getaways to attend a period market are always a good excuse to explore different parts of the region, within the 21 districts of the city there are also thematic leisure proposals that are well worth a visit, such as Medieval Vicálvaro.

The event will transform the Plaza de Don Antonio de Andrés, during this weekend only -from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25- into a hive of activity around the Middle Ages.

The proposals range from a market to parades, shows, exhibitions of period machinery and workshops for all audiences.

Activities open all day long

In addition to the above, during the three days of Vicálvaro Medieval both the exhibitions (of siege machines, medieval footwear, surgery, machinery and tools) and the workshops (carpentry, blown glass, Arab henna, goldsmithing or bread baking, among others) will remain open all day long.
