Pozuelo de Alarcón hosts this Sunday a new edition of the Second Life Market, an event that has become a reference for lovers of sustainability, shopping and neighborhood life. The event, promoted by the City Council and organized mainly by the neighbors themselves, brings together more than 150 stalls spread over the Plaza del Padre Vallet and the Plaza Mayor, where they will sell everything from clothes, antiques, household goods and decoration, to unusual objects that tell stories and seek a new life.
The uniqueness of this flea market lies in the collaborative spirit: not only citizens over 18 years old registered in Pozuelo participate, but also local associations such as the Red Cross, Camelot Scout, Igualar, Sababou, Proyecto Hanaera or Albedro. These entities take advantage of the day to allocate the funds raised for charitable purposes, adding social value to each transaction.
A market made by the neighbors
The Second Life Market will start at 10:30 am and end at 2:30 pm. During these hours will be added parallel activities such as live performances by the Ciarts Dance School, special snacks offered by local bars and a maximum fee of 7 euros for parking throughout the day in the Plaza del Padre Vallet.
The sale of perishable goods such as food and beverages is not allowed, but board games, books, collectibles, furniture and other decorative objects are allowed. The complete list of what can be sold and the form to participate as a vendor can be found at this link.
