From April 21 to May 4, the Caja Mágica will host the most important tennis tournament in the capital, the Mutua Madrid Open. The best players of the ATP and WTA circuit will compete these weeks not only for the leadership of the world ranking, but also for a substantial amount of money. This year, without Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are expected to play in the middle of the draw, and there are also high expectations for Germany’s Alexander Zverev.
As announced by the Spanish ATP Masters 1000 the total prize purse for 2025 amounts to 8,055,385 €. The individual champion will receive 985,030 €, almost 20,000 € more than in the 2024 edition. The winning doubles pair will also receive a higher prize, which this year will receive 2.27% more than last year. However, the 400,560 € will be shared between the team.
In what has been announced by the ATP so far it is not known if the amounts between men and women who reach the final of the championship will be different. In the women’s draw, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Świątek, the defending champion, are expected to compete at some point in the table.
