On Saturday, February 21, Madrid’s Plaza de Olavide will once again be transformed into The Festival by Olavide, a street market held on the third Saturday of every month, where dozens of local artisans gather at this iconic neighborhood spot to showcase their creations to neighbors and visitors alike.
The products on offer include fashion—for humans but also for dogs— jewelry, illustrations, scented candles, children’s clothing and accessories, baskets, books, decorations, ceramics, stationery… And the list goes on.
At the same time, there will be music to liven up the day and food stalls to delight the palate: from organic honey to ham, nuts, gourmet cheesecakes, and other select products.
What stalls will there be at The Festival by Olavide?
This edition of The Olavide Festival market will feature a wide variety of brands, such as Jazz Artesanal (focused on ethnic Mexican clothing), Hammels Sunglasses (sunglasses), Panama Hats (hats), Bichobola Shop (design), and Mariandrada (slow fashion).
Art will be represented by names such as César Ortiz-Echagüe Acuarelas and Un Circulito, who will be joined by Joyas Plebeyas and the scented and decorative candles of Wax and Calm. Other groups participating on this occasion include Dream Days, Atelier Artisan, Peter Walker Perros Elegante Miss Calcetín, and Estilographica, among others.
On the food side, Sovoral Apicultura Orgánica (honey), Cachito a Cahito (gourmet cheesecakes), Squirrel Smile, Jamón y Corte, La Saboreteca (gourmet products), and Moxe Foods (chocolate) will be making an appearance.
