You can already mark it in red on the calendar: from May 21 to 24 -and for the fourth consecutive year- Estación Podcast returns to the capital to turn it into the world epicenter of podcasting in Spanish. The event will have as its main venue the Espacio Cultural Serrería Belga, but will also include other venues such as CentroCentro, Metro de Madrid, the Palacio de la Prensa and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).
On this occasion , more than 50 activities have been scheduled, including talks, podcasts, presentations and workshops, among others, which are organized around three categories. Namely:
- LIVE Station. Live podcasts of different genres and topics, such as True Crime, pop culture, humor, art or entertainment.
- PRO Station. Debate tables, workshops, masterclasses on sound creation and conversations with creators to bring the podcast industry closer to new talents and continue professionalizing the sector.
- MUSIC Station. A novelty this year, from the hand of Subterfuge Records, which brings the best live music to different venues in Madrid: The Killer Barbies (May 20 at Sala El Sol), Vicente Calderón (May 22 at Sala Nazca) and CANTEO! (May 23 at Sala Vesta).
The podcasts that have so far confirmed that they will be present are:
- Keep it cutre, the podcast by content creators and influencers Ángela Henche and Albanta San Román.
- Mimicidios, the podcast that tells the worst crimes of the last decades without frills or gloomy music. Presented by MimiXXL.
- Sofa, blanket and crime. With the same theme but in the independent field, with Coral do Rego and Yayo Freijo.
- Así somos, by Molo Cebrián and Luis Muiño (creators of Entiende tu mente).
- Hey! by writer Hans Laguna. There will be a live episode in which he will use the case of Julio Iglesias to analyze the music industry.
- Backpack to the past, by Luis Fabra, Alberto Aparici and Danny Boy-Rivera. Historical divulgation and humor.
