The 2026 Hispanic Heritage Festival has already set the dates for its sixth edition in Madrid: from October 2 to 12, various locations throughout the capital and the region will host more than 150 cultural activities, including music, gastronomy, film, folklore, art, and heritage.
One of the main highlights of this year’s program—which features the United States as the guest country—is the series of free concerts. The first of these will feature Colombian artist Sebastián Yatra on Saturday, October 10, at Plaza de España.
The next day, at the same location, Marta Sánchez will provide the day’s musical entertainment.
Two other main stages will join this one— at Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor—rounding out the lineup with names such as maestro Arturo Sandoval—a leading figure in jazz fusion—Cuban singer Aymée Nuviola, the Franco-Venezuelan artist La Chica, the
Peruvian group Tipa Tipo, and the Spanish artist Nat Simons.
The event’s most flamenco-focused segment will take place in Plaza Mayor with the now-traditional performance by Corral de la Morería.
Another highlight of the program is the grand parade, which will once again wind its way down Gran Vía on October 4 with 15 floats.
Activities in Puente del Rey for Hispanic Heritage Day 2026
As mentioned, for the first time, Puente del Rey is joining the event as a venue for sports and culinary activities, with initiatives such as the “Carrera de la Hispanidad: Madrid Corre en Español” race and “Ágave y Maíz: Gran Festival Mexicano, ” organized in collaboration with Casa de México and Sello Copil.
Cultural institutions such as Teatros del Canal, with theatrical performances, and the Lope de Vega House Museum, with the exhibition *Pintura de castas*, will also be participating in the event.
