The 2026 World Cup kicks off this Thursday, June 11, and just a few days later, on June 15, the Spanish men’s national soccer team will make its tournament debut against Cape Verde. This match—as well as the one on June 21, when the national team will face Saudi Arabia on the field— will be shown on a giant screen at Yelmo Cinemas in Madrid.
The cinema chain made this announcement on Wednesday, stating that if the team continues to advance in the competition, it plans to continue “supporting the national team on the big screen by showing their upcoming matches.”
The broadcast of the 2026 World Cup, which is part of +Que Cine—an expansion of its offerings beyond movie premieres—will take place at all of its theaters in Madrid (and in the other provinces where it operates), including Premium and Luxury locations as well as traditional ones.
To mark the occasion, Yelmo Cinemas will launch special packages that include a ticket and a meal deal, with prices ranging from €8.30 (for the traditional popcorn and soda combo) to €21.30 for the Luxury meal deal. The Premium meal deal (€14.30), the mid-range option, consists of a small popcorn, a soda, and a main course of your choice.
