The sky is a box of surprises: each constellation has a story behind it. Each star we see in the sky is a piece of a great imaginary map, used by travelers of ancient civilizations to orient themselves. All this generates such interest that all kinds of activities have arisen focused on the observation of astronomical phenomena such as meteor showers or eclipses.
Speaking of eclipses, in the peninsula we will be able to see one on Saturday, March 29, and even a festival is being organized to celebrate it. The astro-tourism company El Nocturnario has chosen Collado Mediano as the ideal setting to enjoy the phenomenon with talks, workshops, music and much more.
El Nocturnario is an independent project founded by the audiovisual communicator Sarai de la Hoz and the astrological guide Mario López. Together they have created a community of astronomy enthusiasts that hosts everything from courses on constellations to the new Eclipsa Festival.
Eclipsa Fest will begin at 9:30 am at the local municipal sports center (Paseo de los Rosales, 65). As soon as it starts, visitors will be given special glasses to enjoy the expected partial solar eclipse.
At 10:45 a.m. the phenomenon will begin, and then there will be free access activities for the whole family: observation with telescopes, astronomy workshops, face painting for children and photocall. From 12:30 pm, the astronomical meeting will end with music and food trucks.
