Before filling the grids at Formula 1® Grand Prix races, drivers like Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Yuki Tsunoda all started here: in Formula 4. This category is where it all begins— the origin of the great drivers. On August 22 and 23, the Madrid Jarama-RACE Circuit will host the major F4 competition. In other words, we’ll witness the future of motorsports right here at home. Tickets are now on sale.
EPIC Racing Weekend is the fourth round of the Spanish F4 Championship. Things are heating up: seven drivers separated by just 19 points, as well as other contenders who will come to Madrid to try to climb the standings.
The F4 drivers to keep an eye on
Remember these names: Noah Monteiro, Nacho Tuñón, Andrej Petrovic, Rocco Coronel, Nathan Tye, Kasper Chromans, and Borys Lyzen. These are the drivers who have stood out in the previous three rounds (Valencia, Portimão, and MotorLand Aragón).
Monteiro is the current championship leader with a perfect 100 points. The Portuguese driver, son of former F1® driver Tiago Monteiro, is proving that speed runs in his blood. Nacho Tuñón ( born in Benidorm) is hot on his heels with 94 points, and Petrovic holds a strong third place with 92 points.
Coronel, with 87 points—known as the “best rookie” for his flawless first season with the prestigious Red Bull Junior Team—holds fourth place; he is followed by Nathan Tye with 86, Kasper Schormans with 82, and Borys Lyzen with 81.
The Madrid Jarama-RACE Circuit will be the deciding factor. Opened in 1967, “the Jarama”—as it’s known to Madrileños—has hosted nine Formula 1® Grand Prix races, truck racing events, and, of course, Formula 4.

EPIC Racing Weekend kicks off on August 22 with the Official Pre-Race Test at 10:00 a.m. and continues on Sunday with Qualifying 2 at the same time.
