The snow forecasts for last night have not been fulfilled and although in the higher elevations of the Community of Madrid the sparkle has made everything white dawn, the squall has not just left even a little snow in the mountain passes.
The latest official information from the AEMET confirms that the snow level on Friday in the Community of Madrid is at 800 meters, even occasionally dropping to 700 m in mountain areas during the afternoon and early morning, but for now there are no specific warnings for snowfall active for the province of Madrid.

Snow precipitation is expected in the northern and northwestern mountain areas of the region, in municipalities such as Navacerrada, Cercedilla, Rascafría, Miraflores de la Sierra, Lozoya, Somosierra or the surroundings of Puerto de Cotos, where a minimum accumulation could occur, especially at higher altitudes. However, the probability of snow in the capital and the metropolitan area is practically nil, since Madrid is at 657 meters above sea level, below the lowest expected elevation.
Temperatures will continue to fall and moderate frosts will occur, especially in mountain areas and valleys, and the recommendation remains to exercise extreme caution when traveling on high mountain roads, although as of today, the AEMET does not maintain any active alert level for snowfall in the community. The forecast could be updated in case of any change in the weather evolution.
