Few spaces in Madrid are going to be free this Christmas. For the first time, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium will host a large-scale Christmas event from December 24 to 31, called MAVIDAD Bernabéu, in addition to the madness of festive events, which also includes the Metropolitano. The initiative involves transforming the stadium into a temporary theme park, with a setting centered on the “world’s biggest snowball”, accompanied by a varied program of shows, live music, workshops and restaurant areas aimed at families and adults.
During eight days, the attendees will be able to visit the different thematic areas, such as the Plaza de los Sueños, the Galería de los Copos and the Parque de las Nieves Eternas, together with the MAVIX, defined by the organization as “small creatures camouflaged until now as snowflakes”. Not even the facade of the renovated stadium will be spared: the organization will make use of the new videomapping system, based on image projection and surround sound, thus debuting one of the main technical innovations incorporated as a result of the renovation of the Bernabéu.
MAVIDAD at the Bernabéu
This Christmas plan is part of Real Madrid C.F.’s new strategy to open the stadium to cultural and social uses beyond sporting events, taking advantage of the retractable roof, the wraparound façade and a capacity management system based on different passes, with limited capacity at each session. Tickets will be available from November 7 on the official website, as well as with early access for members and registered madridistas.
MAVIDAD Bernabéu will be open from 10:30 am to 10:30 pm, with three daily passes of approximately four hours’ duration. On special dates, the schedules will be adapted: on December 24, there will be a single shift from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm, on Christmas Day there will be two shifts, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and on New Year’s Eve, December 31, there will be a special shift from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Once the activity has been concluded, the sports program will be resumed on January 4, 2026.
