After a sneak peek at the free concerts for the May 2nd Festivities in Madrid was revealed last week with the confirmation of Judeline and Alcalá Norte, we can now say that the full 2026 program for these quintessentially traditional Madrid festivals is now known, already heating up the atmosphere and building anticipation for the San Isidro festivities.
The Community of Madrid has confirmed that the regional festivities will begin next Thursday, April 30, 2026, and will run through May 3, with a program ranging from the traditional historical reenactment of the May 2 uprising to exhibitions and shows taking place across various municipalities.
Folklore, traditional culture, and zarzuela will take center stage through events such as the First National Folklore Festival, performances by the Francisco de Goya Association of Choirs and Dances, the Santa Eulalia de Mos Rondalla, and La Fiesta y los Cantos de Las Mayas y Mayos, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) by the Community of Madrid.
As one of this year’s major highlights, on May 2 at 10 p.m., the Cuña Verde Park in Latina will host a spectacular show featuring 1,000 drones. The full program can be viewed at this link.
The free concerts on the Rey 2026 esplanade

One of the highlights is live music, with the free concerts that bring together thousands of people every year on the Rey Esplanade. This year, the lineup will feature Alcalá Norte, Lobos Negros, joseluis, Bely Basarte, Berkana, and Judeline.
