The Community of Madrid’s Public Procurement Portal confirms what has been circulating, more or less informally, on social media in recent days: both Alcalá Norte and Judeline will take the stage on the Puente del Rey esplanade to headline two concerts as part of the May 2, 2026, Festivities, with free admission until capacity is reached.
These free concerts, a true staple of the regional festival lineup, are one of the highlights of the celebration and have been scheduled as follows:
- Judeline. Friday, May 1, 2026, at 9:30 p.m.
- Alcalá Norte. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 9:30 p.m.
As the band from Ciudad Lineal revealed in a post on their X account—formerly Twitter— the concert will feature new songs: “In May, we’ll play two songs from our upcoming album at a venue near a river in Madrid jkj.”
In the case of the Cádiz-born artist, her stop in the capital coincides with her Bodhiria Tour, which, following the festivities in Madrid, will take her to destinations such as Prague, Valencia, Barcelona, and A Coruña, among others.
What is known about the rest of the program for the May 2 Festival 2026?
In addition to those related to these two concerts, contracts have also been awarded for a performance by the Madrid Historical and Cultural Volunteers Association and for the First National Folklore Gathering in Madrid.
However, to see the full program of the festivities—which last year included everything from exhibitions to theater, music, and the traditional historical reenactment—we will still have to wait a few days for it to be released.
