The 2026 Cambroño Festival enters one of its most exciting weekends, with Cambroño Day as a major event to enjoy the yellow spectacle that colors Los Molinos and a program full of tours, music, and street festivities. Under the slogan “Los Molinos in Yellow,” the municipality has prepared activities for all ages, taking advantage of the peak of the cambroño blossom season to transform the town and its surroundings into a vast open-air stage.
The Los Molinos City Council has designed a program running from April 18 to May 17, but it is this weekend when much of the attention is focused on the calendar. Saturday, April 25, marks Cambroño Day, one of the festival’s most anticipated events, featuring hiking trails through the hills, sports activities, and a packed schedule of music and evening entertainment in Plaza de España and the town’s bars. The goal, in the words of Mayor Antonio Coello, is to use the blooming season as an excuse to “reconnect, strengthen our sense of community, and showcase the essence of our town,” with the support of local associations, volunteers, and businesses.
Saturday: Cambroño Day, nature, and non-stop music

Saturday’s program kicks off with nature taking center stage: from early morning, there are opportunities to head out into the countryside and see up close the sea of yellow cambroño flowers surrounding the town. Notable sporting activities include Nordic walking, starting from the sports center and designed to cover some of the best flowering areas at a brisk pace, as well as other guided hiking trails adapted to different skill levels, with guides explaining the local flora, fauna, and history.
After the outdoor activities, the festivities move to the town center, with music playing almost nonstop. At noon, Plaza de España hosts a saxophone concert by Sergio Feliú, providing the soundtrack for the aperitif. In the afternoon, it’s time for the “tardeo” with The Matao’s, a band that plays classics from the ’80s and ’90s to turn the square into an open-air dance floor and extend the day into the night with music, terraces, and bars set up for the occasion. Local restaurants and bars join in with special menus and culinary offerings designed for those who come to spend the day or the weekend.
Sunday: Hiking among cambroño trees and leisurely activities
On Sunday, the pace slows down a bit, but the plan remains perfect for those looking to combine nature with the tranquility of the mountains. One of the highlights is the Lower Cambroño Hiking Trail, which departs in the morning from Plaza de España or the sports center and winds through flowering areas with moderate elevation changes, ideal for families or casual hikers. This outing, led by environmental specialists, focuses on understanding the cambroño ecosystem, its role in the mountains, and best practices for enjoying the wilderness without damaging it.
Beyond this route, the weekend is rounded out with other organized experiences: guided tours of the Monti artisanal gin distillery, workshops, and sunset or nighttime outings that allow visitors to see the cambroños in a completely different light. Some of these activities require prior registration and have limited spots, so it is advisable to book in advance through the contacts provided by the City Council and the collaborating companies.
