In November it starts to get cold in Madrid, the streets begin to wear Christmas decorations and resurface plans as stimulating as the theater aboard a boat at dusk. The event is held on the waters of the Tagus River in Aranjuez and combines history, culture and nature. Through the initiative A la luz de la Historia, attendees participate in dramatized guided tours during November: they board the Curiosity boat from the Club de Piragüismo Aranjuez at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy a river ride in which the sunset provides the backdrop to the performances.
During the tour, a group of actors recreate episodes of the courtly life of the kings in Aranjuez, with scenes that illustrate their customs and complexities and invite the public to discover lesser-known aspects of the city’s Cultural Landscape, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
A fluvial journey through the history of Aranjuez.

After the theater on board and the boat ride, the experience continues through iconic places such as the Royal Palace and culminates in the Plaza de San Antonio at around 9:30 pm. The activity lasts approximately three hours and admits reservations for a maximum of 50 people per session, offering neighbors and visitors a free plan of enormous success for its originality and immersive character.
Registrations can be made online, at this link, and the activity is completely free thanks to the impulse of the City Council of Aranjuez and the support of the Community of Madrid. It will only take place on November 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The capacity is 50 people per visit, with a maximum of 4 places per reservation.
