Action, the discount chain that has conquered half the continent, is making a strong debut in southern Madrid: yesterday, an 892-square-meter megastore opened in Leganés at the Sambil shopping center. It is the brand’s first store in the municipality, the sixteenth in the Community of Madrid, and brings the total number of stores throughout Spain to 119.
Action’s main appeal is that it offers more than 6,000 products across 14 categories—toys, arts and crafts, home goods, gardening, DIY, some food items, and more—always at the lowest price. This means that more than two-thirds of the assortment costs less than 2 euros, which translates to more than 4,000 items priced below that amount at the Leganés store.

Every week they introduce 150 new products, creating that constant sense of novelty and desire: the shelf that held decorative candles yesterday might be filled today with children’s games, arts and crafts supplies, or the next viral gadget for organizing the kitchen. Between cleaning essentials, home textiles, garden accessories, and little treats for the living room, the atmosphere feels like an amusement park for bargain hunters.
The store is located on Calle Mondragón, s/n, inside the Sambil Shopping Center, and is open every day of the week from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For Action, this opening means strengthening its presence in the southern suburbs of Madrid and bringing its bargain-hunting concept to thousands of new potential customers.
Action is one of Europe’s leading discount retailers in the non-food sector. The company operates more than 3,300 stores across 15 countries and welcomes millions of customers every week who are looking for everything from everyday essentials to little treats that brighten their day.
